Who is responsible

What is collected, and what is not

When you create an account we store your email address and a password hash. The app then stores the data you put into it: [LIST THE DATA THE APP ACTUALLY HOLDS — be concrete; "your content" is not a list].

We do not run analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party script loads on this site or in the app. We do not see your device contacts, location, photos or anything else the app does not ask permission for.

Ordinary server logs — IP address, user agent, request time — are kept for [N DAYS] for abuse prevention and then deleted.

Who else sees any of this

Nobody, except the infrastructure it runs on: [HOSTING PROVIDER] for the database and Cloudflare for the network in front of it. [ADD ANY OTHER PROCESSOR HERE, OR DELETE THIS SENTENCE.] None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Where the data lives

On servers in [COUNTRY / REGION]. If you use Dozehound from elsewhere, your data is transferred there.

How long it is kept, and how to get rid of it

For as long as your account exists. Delete the account from inside the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing privacy@dozehound.com, and everything tied to it is erased within [N DAYS]. Backups age out within [N DAYS] after that.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, at any time, at the address above. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Dozehound is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EU) and we do not knowingly collect their data. Tell us if you believe we have, and we will delete it.

Security, honestly

Everything travels over TLS. Passwords are hashed, never stored. On the web, your session is an HttpOnly cookie no script can read. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects you we will tell you.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced inside the app before they take effect.
